Who we are

We’re all engineers and together in the NZ office we have almost 100 years’ experience. Let’s meet some of the team:

DYLAN JORGENSEN
DYLAN JORGENSENQamcom New Zealand CEO & Systems Engineer
Dylan is a Systems Engineer first. And CEO. Also first.

Dylan loves developing products. His main motivation: that the conceptual product matches the real-world product. Super-satisfying.

Dylan has a B.E. (1st class Hons) from the University of Canterbury plus a bunch of random mathematics papers. Dylan loves technology but also skiing. Next goal: ride in a Freeride World Qualifier event.

HAYDEN BROWN
HAYDEN BROWNSystems Software Engineer
Hayden is a Systems Software Engineer with more than a decade of professional experience in both software and electronic hardware design. After completing his B.E. (Hons) from the University of Canterbury he established a proven track-record of successful software and hardware delivery for a range of consulting and electronics companies (both here and abroad) in the fields of sensing, communications and the Internet of Things.

Hayden has interests in the continually emerging fields of AI and Machine Learning and when not spending time with his family he can be found noodling around on his guitar.

CHRIS DEWBERY
CHRIS DEWBERYSoftware Engineer
Chris is a Software Engineer. But more than that, Chris is a Problem Solving Machine! He brings to Qamcom a wealth of experience in production software development for products ranging from ultra-low-power IoT networks through to high availability infrastructure to ultra-low-latency communications, you name it. When there’s a tricky problem to solve, call Chris and he’ll solve it!

Chris hangs out in the Wairarapa and is surrounded by mountains, grasslands, cows, and 27″ monitors. Go NZ!

MARCEL NOGUEIRA D'EURYDICE
MARCEL NOGUEIRA D'EURYDICESoftware Engineer
Marcel comes to us from Brazil and is our resident scientist: Marcel holds a PhD in Applied Physics, specialising in computational simulation. More than this: Marcel is also a software developer with expertise in all things Cloud and even has his own software development company, Source Crafting Ltd. This is a classic Qamcom combination of deep technical expertise coupled with real-world product development expertise.

If he’s not coding he’s probably kite surfing. Or trying to convince you to also go kite surfing. You really should try it.

And it’s not just us. We have tight links back to Sweden and many of our larger projects have been done in collaboration with the team in Gothenburg. We’ve proven this way of working numerous times and it definitely sets us apart as it gives us stability and scale and enables us to focus on the thing we want to do: developing new and innovative products in a timely and efficient way.

By the way, if this sounds like a team you’d like to work with, please get in touch with us.

GET INSPIRED.
