About Qamcom New Zealand

Partnering with other companies to develop technology into products is in our corporate DNA.

Who we are

We’re all engineers and together in the NZ office we have over 75 years’ experience. Let’s meet some of the team:

DYLAN JORGENSENQamcom New Zealand Responsible & Systems Engineer
Dylan is a Systems Engineer. He started out developing high performance RF systems at Tait Electronics and from there he’s worked at a start-up, a university, and a multi-national. This has involved all aspects of technical product development and leadership both here in NZ and overseas. Dylan has a B.E. (1st class Hons) from the University of Canterbury plus a bunch of mathematics papers (for fun). Dylan loves technology but also skiing. Next goal: finish a Freeride World Qualifier event.
HAYDEN BROWNSystems Software Engineer
Hayden is a Systems Software Engineer with more than a decade of professional experience in both software and electronic hardware design. After completing his B.E. (Hons) from the University of Canterbury he established a proven track-record of successful software and hardware delivery for a range of consulting and electronics companies (both here and abroad) in the fields of sensing, communications and the Internet of Things.

Hayden has interests in the continually emerging fields of AI and Machine Learning and when not spending time with his family he can be found noodling around on his guitar.

TIM CUSSINSSoftware Engineer
Musician, family-man, Software Engineer: these are just a few words that Tim has used to describe himself in this bio, and they’re mostly – if not wholly – roughly accurate.

Tim has a M.E. from the University of Canterbury and worked with ground penetrating radar systems before pivoting to commercial hardware and software development. Prior to Qamcom he worked on soft real-time embedded systems at Linn Products, making mission-critical hi-fi products.

After 12 years becoming a technical lead at Linn, Tim is now fascinated by whole-system architecture, and aspires to dual-wield a whiteboard and Thinkpad until all distributed computing problems have been crushed without mercy.

And it’s not just us. We have tight links back to Sweden and many of our larger projects have been done in collaboration with the team in Gothenburg. We’ve proven this way of working numerous times and it definitely sets us apart as it gives us stability and scale and enables us to focus on the thing we want to do: developing new and innovative products in a timely and efficient way.

By the way, if this sounds like a team you’d like to work with, please get in touch with us.
