Sofia Persson Björk

– Bridging engineering expertise and business direction

Where ideas meet execution.

At Qamcom, technology is driven forward by people who connect ideas with execution. Sofia Persson Björk, who recently joined as Sales Development & Operations, brings a mix of engineering background, business perspective, and a strong curiosity for how technology creates real value.

With decades of experience close to both development and customers, she focuses on how Qamcom can grow in a smart and sustainable way.

“I enjoy building things – teams, deals, and ideas. My role is about connecting the dots between our offering, strategy, and customer needs,” Sofia says.

Connecting competence with opportunity.

Having joined earlier this year, Sofia’s role is still taking shape. Her focus is on structuring sales, refining the offering, and creating long-term customer value. With a broad network in the tech industry and experience across development, leadership, and operations, she works at the intersection between strategy and delivery.

Before joining Qamcom, Sofia was Head of Engineering and Project Management at Megger Sweden, where she led the full R&D organization across hardware, firmware, and software. Her career also includes leadership roles at AFRY and a hands-on start as an electrical engineer developing operator panels. Over time, she moved into project management, program leadership, and business-oriented roles across the value chain.

“What attracted me was the combination of deep technical expertise and a very genuine, down-to-earth culture. The people and the competence are impressive. There’s also an open, supportive, and unpretentious environment – and many exciting opportunities ahead.”

A culture built on competence and humility.

From Sofia’s perspective, Qamcom stands out for its strong engineering core combined with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Outside work, Sofia spends much of her time in endurance and mountain sports, including running, cycling, cross-country skiing, alpinism, and swimrunning. She also supports her teenage son in his cross-country skiing competitions and is active in board work. Since 2024, she serves as Chairperson of Svensk Elektronik, Sweden’s leading association for electronics companies.

Curiosity that started early.

Her interest in technology began in a hands-on way – trying to repair a broken TV remote with an oversized soldering iron. That curiosity has followed her throughout her career, shaped by a childhood that encouraged independence and responsibility.
“I was always encouraged to try things on my own. My parents were always there for me so I could always retreat if something happened. That safety net built both curiosity and confidence.”

Technology as a societal enabler.

Looking ahead, Sofia sees technology as key to solving major societal challenges, particularly within sustainability. She also points to quantum computing as an area with transformative potential – if used responsibly.

She believes increasing diversity in tech starts with how the industry communicates its purpose.

“We’ve talked too much about gadgets and too little about impact. Technology enables better neonatal care, safer vehicles, cleaner air. When we highlight the value and societal relevance, we attract more diverse perspectives.”

Her advice to girls and women interested in technology is simple:

“Be curious and dare to try. Technology is broad – there’s space for many strengths and personalities. Be more like Pippi: ‘I have never tried that before, so I think I should definitely be able to do that.’”

And her favorite superhero?

“Always be yourself… unless you can be Batman. Then always be Batman. I think Batman represents what a human can become through willpower and purpose.”
