The journey from Tehran to Gothenburg.
Encouraged by her parents and an inspiring teacher, she studied computer engineering at a university in Tehran before moving to Gothenburg to continue her education at Chalmers University. “I knew some colleagues from Chalmers who had joined Qamcom. Their stories and the reputation of the team drew me in,” she explains.
“I remember being 10 years old and passionate about solving mathematical problems.”

What makes Qamcom different?

“You’re not boxed into a single role, there’s always something new to learn and contribute to.”
Breaking barriers in technology.
As a woman in tech, Negin is aware of the challenges that can prevent others from entering the field. “Cultural stereotypes and prejudices play a huge role” she notes. She emphasizes the importance of schools and companies in addressing these barriers, from showcasing female role models in education to creating transparent, inclusive workplaces.
Words of advice for future engineers.
