Moaa
Designing millimetre-wave antenna arrays is traditionally complex and time-consuming. The Moaa project explores how off-the-shelf PCB technologies can be used to build cost-efficient mm-wave antennas — making fast wireless communication more accessible to design.
Challenges
Complex and time consuming.
Value
Fast and cost-efficient communication through off-the-shelf PCB technologies.
Solutions
Develop new methods to excite antenna elements in antenna arrays and use low cost manufacturing methods.
Objectives
- To learn how to design mm-wave array systems, from simulation to real antenna.
- To learn construction methods for PCBs with antennas and mm-wave components.
- Develop methods for characterization of multi-antenna transmitters.
