Qamcom contributes to major European measurement campaign

Qamcom has participated in one of the world's most extensive measurement campaigns on electromagnetic signal propagation over a marine environment. Conducted in Finland's Archipelago Sea, the campaign is part of the European Defense Fund-funded FESPAN project and aims to improve the prediction of radio and radar signal propagation for both defense and civilian applications.

The month-long campaign brought together more than 60 experts from research institutes, defense organisations and industry across Europe. By combining measurements from drones, research vessels, radars, satellites and atmospheric observations, the project is building a unique dataset for improving propagation models in complex marine environments.

Accurate prediction of electromagnetic signal propagation is becoming increasingly important for applications that rely on the electromagnetic spectrum, including communications, surveillance and autonomous systems.

Qamcom is proud to contribute to the FESPAN project and collaborate with leading European partners to advance knowledge in this important field.
