Qamcom won Best Demo Award at the 2025 EuCNC & 6G, as part of the Hexa-X-II demo team!

Qamcom has been awarded the Best Demo Award at the 2025 EuCNC & 6G Summit for its contribution to a joint communication and sensing (JCAS) demonstrator developed within the Hexa-X-II research project. The award was given collectively to several demonstrations from the Hexa-X-II consortium, highlighting the project's cutting-edge research on future 6G technologies.

The showcased demonstrator presents an integrated approach to joint communication and sensing using adjusted 5G-NR waveforms. This technique enables a single radio signal to serve both wireless communication and bi-static sensing functionalities, significantly increasing spectrum efficiency and opening new capabilities for future 6G systems.

The demo is part of Qamcom's broader contribution to Hexa-X-II, the EU's flagship 6G initiative led by a consortium of top-tier telecom vendors, research institutes, and universities. Qamcom collaborated with project partners to develop and test the solution, with a focus on real-world feasibility and cross-domain performance.

"Being recognized at EuCNC & 6G Summit shows the strength of collaboration and the value of pushing technical boundaries," said Mohammad Moghaddam, Joint communication and sensing expert at Qamcom. "Joint communication and sensing is a key enabler for many future 6G applications, from smart mobility to industrial automation."

The EuCNC & 6G Summit, held this year in Antwerp, Belgium, is one of the leading events for 5G and 6G research in Europe, bringing together industry leaders, researchers, and policy-makers. The event is co-organized by the European Commission and supported by the Horizon Europe and Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) programmes.

Qamcom's involvement in Hexa-X-II reflects its strategic focus on high-impact R&D in wireless systems, sensing, and emerging communication technologies.
