Qamcom Stockholm is expanding
Almost 8 years ago, the Gothenburg-based tech company Qamcom decided to open an office in Stockholm. Since then, it has grown steadily and established itself as a leading technology specialist in the Stockholm region. Now it has outgrown its existing premises and is moving to a new, larger office with room for further expansion.
Qamcom as a whole focuses on sensors, signals and systems in a variety of application areas. With the ability to take something from idea to finished product we can bridge research with industry, create value through technology – and in doing so, develop products no one else has done before. The Stockholm office has chosen to specialise more deeply in smart embedded systems within Industrial AI and IoT, sensor technology and image recognition – with clients in areas such as Industry 4.0, smart cities, medicine and biotechnology. Local competition is fierce, both from a recruitment and customer perspective. However, Qamcom has succeeded in positioning itself as an innovative expert company, attracting unique specialist competencies as well as prestigious clients and research projects. Qamcom has, as an example, developed a machine used to develop new vaccines and research in malaria resistance, played a leading role in systems development of autonomous machines as well as medical devices, and helped the City of Stockholm towards its vision of becoming the world’s smartest city in 2040. For Qamcom the Stockholm region is a growing market with enormous potential and it is now investing heavily to expand further.
“It feels great that we are growing and moving to bigger premises. We have really enjoyed living in Kista and will continue to be established here. We are therefore moving just a stone’s throw away to our new premises in the Time Building. This is a big step for Qamcom in Stockholm and given all the exciting projects we have in the pipeline, I am convinced that this is just the beginning of our journey towards further expansion in the region,” says Ann Louise Johansson, Site Manager for Qamcom’s Stockholm office.
Qamcom is a leading specialist company in research and technology with a focus on systems, hardware and software in areas such as Advanced Signal Processing, AI, Wireless Communication Systems, Industrial IoT and System Safety. It is home to around 150 hand-picked experts whose focus, simply put, is to transform technology into value for society, people and industry. Read more at qamcom.com.
